COVID-19 Office Update

We are open and here for you at Thrive KC- Chiropractic & Family Wellness during the JOCO and KCMO reopening phases!

Chiropractic care is designated as an Essential Healthcare Service and plays a very important role in making sure all individuals dealing with pain have a safe place to go for treatment. It also eases the burden on our ERs and medical clinics during these uncertain times.

During the Kansas and Missouri “Stay at Home Mandate” we were operating under reduced days and hours. However, starting Monday, May 18th we will be back in the office M/W/Th/Fr with regular hours. Appointment times will continue to be spaced out to allow for extra sanitizing and to ensure that people are not waiting together in the office. If you have an emergency and need in during a different time, please call/text or email and we can find a different appointment time for you.

As noted before, in addition to maintaining an extremely sanitized space, I’m taking additional measures to ensure your health and safety over the next several weeks, which include:

  1. Parking Lot Reception/Closed Lobby: Please call/text the office on arrival and I will let you in as soon as I am ready for you. This prevents you from waiting in the office and prevents contact with other people.  We ask that you do not bring anyone extra with you to your appointments for the time being (minors with appointments are an exception).

  2. Screening Questions:

    1. Do you currently/ have you or a family member had any symptoms including, but not limited to fever, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, sore throat, and/or congestion in the last 48-72 hours?

    2. Temperature Checks as soon as you enter the office. Anyone with a temperature over 100.4 degrees will be asked to reschedule.

    3. Have you traveled internationally or domestically in the last 14 days?

    4. Have you been in direct contact with anyone who has tested positive or is presumed positive in the last 14 days?

    5. Have you been hospitalized in the last 14 days?

If the answer is yes to any of these, you will be asked to reschedule.

  3. I am asking that anyone entering the office wash their hands or use hand sanitizer.

  4. I am staggering patient appointment times and continuing to wipe down all high touch/high traffic areas after each patient, including door handles, front desk, adjusting tables, Hypervolt, iPad, and activator. I am wearing a mask, washing my hands and using hand sanitizer after each visit, and have gloves to wear upon request.

  5. If you are wanting to pick up supplements to help support your immune system during this time, please let me know. I can set them aside for you and we can arrange a curbside pick up or drop off if you prefer to not come into the office. We have several in stock at the office, and I am also placing a few orders this week to restock on items that have sold out. Let me know if there is anything you or your family needs!

Being a small business owner during this time is difficult. I am doing my best to ensure safety for my patients, their families, and myself. If I can help support you in any way, please let me know.
With all of this said- please protect yourself & make the best decision for yourself, your family, and others. As always, I hope you remain safe and healthy and I am here for anything you need.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. Please call or text (913) 735-6854 or email me at drbethany@thrivekcchiro.com
